We proudly serve coffee imported from a family-owned farm in the mountainous region of Utuado, Puerto Rico, where elevations range from 2,000 to 2,600 feet above sea level. This high-altitude environment—combined with rich volcanic soil and a temperate climate—nurtures slower-growing coffee trees that develop deeper, more complex flavors.
Founded in 1980 by Dionisio Custodio and Esther Jimenez, the farm has shaped the island’s coffee heritage for over 40 years. Today, their grandchildren continue the tradition, growing and roasting 100% Arabica beans with the same passion and care.
Crafted with Care, From Tree to Roast
With over 100,000 coffee trees, the farm uses time-honored methods to ensure quality at every step. Each bean is:
- Hand-picked at peak ripeness
- Processed using washed, honey, natural, and anaerobic fermentation methods
- Roasted at origin to lock in freshness and character
The result is a medium-dark roast that’s rich in fruity, nutty, and chocolatey notes—a flavor as elevated as the land it comes from.
